The old adage goes
Behind every great Man stand a great Woman.
If that were truly the case I would have no choice but to declare myself to be beyond the status of great due to the fact I’m married to the most amazing woman I’ve ever met in my life and simply labeling her as “great” would be a travesty.
Truth be told I’m a very lucky man and not a day goes by that I’m not thankful our paths crossed. My wife has blessed me with more than I could have ever asked for. A love I know to be true, two wonderful daughters that just continue to amazing me every day and over the past four years the compassion and understanding that has allowed me to pursue my obsession to become a better golfer.
I’d say I hit the jackpot!
She still questions my obsession and is incredibly reluctant to dive into my world but that’s ok. One day she might decide to venture in and when that happens I’ll be ready. She’s put up with my constant computer time spent updating and composing for the multiple sites I write for, she’s tolerated me converting our garage into a driving range and the onslaught of golf gear that has consumed even me to the point where I just might have to get rid of some things, NOOOOOOOOO!! Most recently though my wife, the wonderful, amazing woman that she is was onboard with me renovating our backyard and installing a putting green! Yeah, she’s kinda awesome!
To say I hit the jackpot, even in this town, would be a gross understatement.
This obvious attempt at smoozing over my better half comes on a day that has become more and more special every year. It was nine years ago today that my life dramatically changed for the better when my wife and I “tied the proverbial knot”. Without a doubt these last nine years have been an unforgettable experience and I can only imagine there is more of the same for us the rest of our years together!
Happy Anniversary to my amazing wife Erica, I can’t imagine anyone else I’d want to be spending my life with!
