Welcome to my Golf Library Page.
Here is a list of some of the most influential books that I have read and enjoyed. The hyperlink will take to Amazon.com, where you can read reviews or purchase if you’d like. I try to add as many books my golf Library because it’s always refreshing to go back and pick up a book you’ve read years ago and see how it had changed as you’ve grown as a golfer.
Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book:
This book has meant a lot to me over the years. It’s beaten up, has some torn pages, and it still captures my attention every time I pick it up to read some of the wisdom of Mr. Penick. This is a must-have book.
Five Lessons:
Arguably one of the most well know instructional golf books ever written. I’m confident that if I would have never picked this book up and read it that my game would not be improving the way it is. Each time I read through the pages, I tend to get more out of it then the time before. Incredible book, another must-have!
Practical Golf:
Hank Haney recommended this book via Twitter, and I can’t thank Mr. Haney enough. I thought I had a good understanding of how the golf swings work, but it wasn’t until after reading “Practical Golf” that I started to get a feel and sense of my golf swing. This is another one of my must-have books!
Mind Over Golf:
How quickly this has quickly become my new favorite book to read. It has completely changed my view of the mental state of golf and is one of my golf library’s best. This is an absolute must-have book!
Power Golf:
My Golden Lessons:
Not sure if I’d enjoy it very much, this was the first Jack Nicklaus book that I’ve read, and after finishing it, I plan on reading more of his. Not a reading book; it’s more of a tip book. Highly recommend this one, it has some excellent illustrations, and the tips Mr. Nicklaus goes over are fantastic!
Fix your body, Fix your swing:
I bought this book after hearing Rickie Fowler talk about his trainer Joey D. It’s an excellent book if you are looking to enhance your physical side of your golf game.
And if you play golf, you’re my friend
Yet another fantastic book by Harvey Penick. If you enjoyed Little Red Book, you will love this one as well.
If, by chance, you think I’m missing anything from my golf library that you feel I need to read, then please add a comment, and I’ll do my best to add it to my collection.
